Graham's 30 Year Old Tawny Bottled In 2025

Graham's 30 Year Old Tawny Bottled In 2025

There was a clear brown colour with an amber rim. The nose was noticeably rich combining honey scents with oak. Tasting revealed a really full bodied and long lasting port that was quite sweet but it needed to be to carry all those deep rich and complex oak flavours. In addition there was burnt orange, dried fruits and hazelnut present. This is a port to indulge on those special occasions when you need to spoil yourself a wee bit.

Ramos Pinto 30 Year Old Tawny Bottled in 2021

Ramos Pinto 30 Year Old Tawny Bottled in 2021

Deep brown colour with significant turbidity and just a hint of amber. The nose was surprisingly light. The flavour was marred by the unpleasant feel of the deposit on the tongue so we asked for another glass which follows.

Deep brown colour with a hint of amber and just a light nose. Ah much better; tasting revealed a rich butterscotch sweetness balanced with complex wood flavours in a long lasting depth.

This had a moderate brown colour with nuts and coffee beans on the nose. This aged tawny had the light style associated with this quinta although it was noticeable richer than their younger ports. There were hints of coffee flavours combined with the raisin sweetness and nutty oakiness.

Graham's Tawny 30 Year Old

Graham's Tawny 30 Year Old

Clear brown colour with a strong nose of caramelised sugar. This was sweet with a complex after taste. It came across as distinctly tarry and medicinal, which is fine it that is what you are looking for an aged tawny. I certainly enjoyed this one.
